Day by Day with Parkinson's and Peripheral Neuropathy

I was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease and Peripheral Neuropathy in 2006, but my symptoms seemed to take a turn in a different direction in late 2007. The current diagnosis is Essential Myoclonus. You will find record here of a my journey - coping with the testing, the medicines, nutrition, digestion problems, exercise, the emotions, and no telling what else!

Well, as You Can See - I'm Back to Plain!! YUCK!!

My advice to anyone who hasn't changed to Blogger Beta is DON'T!!! I'm having way too much trouble with this. I finally get it just right in FireFox, and no matter what I do, I can't fix it in IE. I even went back and started over with the simple template again, and monitored one change at a time, to see what was causing the problem with IE. Once I had the problem, undid the change, the problem wouldn't go away!!! What a messy piece of programming!! Google should be ashamed of themselves. Do I sound peeved? Well, I am.

On a happier note, I have a Tai Chi lesson today. Not sure how well I'll do, as nauseated as I've been, and as stiff as my shoulders and neck have been the last few days, but I'm hoping the exercise will help. It always leaves me feeling very relaxed, and, as you can tell, I need that right now.

DB, massage therapy has done a great deal for me to alleviate arthritic pain. It is different from esthetic massage, as I think I remember you already know!

Just another idea. I'm glad you're going to Tai Chi!

There's only one place around here to get a massage, and that's at a la di da day spa. They charge a fortune. So I guess I'll have to forgo that pleasure. You're right, Marion, they really do help, if the person doing them knows what to do.

Yep! Between Google's tempermental beta Blogger and IE's pitiful code, there was just no way to customize and make both IE and FF look right. So I had to compromise with a standard template I could live with. I'm almost afraid to change the color of the sides to my old pumpkin color, for fear I'll have to start all over.

Did you really have a bedroom that color? Did you get any sleep? ;)

Could you get a massage at the Y if you have one nearby? Ours offers the service at non-la-di-da prices.

I can identify with the Beta issues too. I switched and when I lost links like to Blog Village, I just kept the old template. I like now that I can add links and block quotes easier, but I didn't need to be changing colors and moving stuff around. In design, there is a saying, "KISS" which means "keep it simple stupid." That's my philosophy and I'm sticking with it.

There's not a Y near us, Sheila, but it's still something to check on, since we go to B'ham a lot.

I'm too stubborn to leave this template alone until I understand it! I'm not called 1track for nothin' LOL. That's the alter ego I used before we started selling with the dirty butter domain.
